چکیده

In this paper, we discuss the basic elements of percolation theory, beginning with the physical motivation for the abstraction and the essentials of the bond model on the LD square lattice. The critical phenomenon is introduced, a fundamental concept in percolation theory. We then describe the general use of percolation theory to analyze physical phenomena. We examine one such application in depth: the connectivity of a neuron culture, which can be modeled as a percolation process.

A model for modified electrode with carbon nanotube composites using percolation theory in fractal space

We introduce a model for prediction the behavior of electrodes which modified withcarbon nanotubes in a polymer medium. These kinds of polymer composites aredeveloped in recent years, and experimental data for its percolation threshold isavailable. We construct a model based on percolation theory and fractal dimensionsand using experimental percolation threshold for calculating the moments of c...

Introduction to Schramm-Loewner evolution and its application to critical systems

In this short review we look at recent advances in Schramm-Loewner Evolution (SLE) theory and its application to critical phenomena. The application of SLE goes beyond critical systems to other time dependent, scale invariant phenomena such as turbulence, sand-piles and watersheds. Through the use of SLE, the evolution of conformally invariant paths on the complex plane can be followed; hence a...

Theory of continuum percolation. I. General formalism.

The theoretical basis of continuum percolation has changed greatly since its beginning as little more than an analogy with lattice systems. Nevertheless, there is yet no comprehensive theory of this field. A basis for such a theory is provided here with the introduction of the Potts fluid, a system of interacting s-state spins which are free to move in the continuum. In the s → 1 limit, the Pot...

Some Applications of the Percolation Theory: Brief Review of the Century Beginning

The review is a brief description of the state of problems in percolation theory and their numerous applications, which are analyzed on base of interesting papers published in the last 15-20 years. At the submitted papers are studied both the cluster system of the physical body and its impact on the object in general, and adequate mathematical tools for description of critical phenomena too. Of...

Emergent Physics at the Vulcanization Transition

The Essay starts with an overview of the percolation approach and classical elasticity theory of the vulcanization transition of rubber, describing their assumptions and their limitations. Thereafter we discuss a third approach, the Vulcanization Theory (VT) which incorporates the effects of thermal fluctuations and quenched random disorder. The VT is an order parameter theory in the true Landa...
